The 12 educational, arts and cultural organizations that comprise the Glenn Seaborg Learning Consortium recognized a unique opportunity to introduce an engaged and active region to new ideas and experiences. Their shared goal is to enlighten, inspire and encourage visitors of all ages to learn more about science, the arts, politics, history, our environment and our health. 
Dr. Seaborg dedicated his life to obtaining greater knowledge and understanding of the world, and encouraged others to learn, grow and enjoy their full potential. Together, the Lafayette Library and Learning Center and the Glenn Seaborg Learning Consortium embody these noble ideals.
