Lafayette Library and Learning Center Needs After-School Volunteers

volunteersThe Lafayette Library and Learning Center is proving to be a big hit among kids and youth of all ages. During the first week that the library has been open to the public, hundreds of students have poured into the new facility each day after school. While that's just what we were hoping for, there aren't enough adult volunteers to monitor and assist them.

The library staff is looking for at least 4 adult volunteers to assist with crowd control in the teen area, the children's area, the storytelling corner and the study rooms. An additional 2 adult volunteers are needed to monitor the outside areas.

If you're interested in helping out, Monday through Friday, from 3pm to 4:30pm, contact Susan Weaver, sweaver@ccclib.org.
