Sweet ThursdayHighlights of the LLLC Collection

With a growing collection of over 75,000 books, the Lafayette Library and Learning Center offers something for everyone - classics, science fiction, mysteries and more, many of them offered in large print format.

You’ll find music CDs and CD audio books, but the Lafayette Library and Learning Center is the first in the Contra Costa County library system to also offer audio book MP3s. There are plenty of DVDs of feature films, documentaries and nonfiction, and over 80 subscriptions to magazines.

  • For Teens – Illustrated novels (comic books) and hot-off-the-press popular fiction.
  • For Children – Popular picture books and easy readers, special collections of states, nations, missions and Native Americans.
  • For Special Needs – Books and information about disabilities, including autism, in varying reader formats.
