Just across from the plaza at the Main Library entrance, and right off Mt. Diablo Boulevard, the Community Hall is a generously proportioned room that can be set up to accommodate groups of up to 160 people in a wide variety of ways. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide generous natural light, and a raised stage increases visibility of speakers, actors and musicians – just a sampling of some of the activities that have graced the Hall. A Steinway grand piano is the permanent resident of this spacious room, and often appears as the musical backdrop to receptions, private dinners and other special events.
