ADA compliant and offering on-site parking, comfortable rooms, appealing open-air spaces and convenient access by public transportation, the Lafayette Library and Learning Center is an inviting option to hold gatherings of all sorts and sizes.

Certain Library rooms may be available without charge on a first-come, first-served basis. When at the Library, please check at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center Foundation Office for more information. You can access the Foundation office through Garage Level Two.

In the case of room rentals, fees are determined by the following Applicant Categories:

• Nonprofit Lafayette, including Lafayette schools: 501(c)(3) status, 51% Lafayette residents
• Nonprofit Other: 501(c)(3) status,
• Private Party or Commercial Enterprise

Areas available for rental include

• Community Hall (along with its prep kitchen and Steinway grand piano),
• Arts & Science Discovery Center,
• Reading Court,
• Amphitheater and
• various rooms on the Library and Learning Center’s Main Floor:
  • Teen Center
  • Redwood Room
  • Walnut Room
  • Willow Room
  • Homework Center

Reservations and rentals can be made up to one year in advance through the Lafayette Library and Learning Center Foundation by phone (925) 283-6513, ext 101 or email for information. In the case of room rentals, a nonrefundable $100 reservation deposit (applicable to rental fees) is due upon booking.
